a day with friends, horses, and wind....
Monday the 23rd was full of so much fun! First of all our sweet friend Jody Evans was to have her third baby that day. I was so honored that she would ask me to watch after her daughter Nora, and son Robbie, while she and her husband tended to the newest member of their family. It can be so hard to trust someone else with your most sacred of little ones. Which is why whenever I am asked to do so, I consider it an honor. Reagan and Lily had a field trip on this day, so we all went together! MSU Barns was the destination, horses were the objective. What we didn't count on was the incredible wind! Most of my pictures were ruined by hair all over our faces, but I did manage to get a few. At 2:55 I got the text that baby Jane Evans had come into our world! What an exciting day for this family, so thankful I could help be a part of it.

please don"t call CPS...
I cringe every time the girls request daddy to make them "fly". However, over the years of being a parent, I understand that Mommies and Daddies play differently. I play Candy Land, Puzzles, and Freeze Tag. Daddy plays "you can't get me", (chases the girls around the house while they shout, You can't get me. ) Was that already self explanatory? He also plays a game of, "Mom turn your head, because your gasping has become annoying."
Did someone say Slurpee?
great day for a walk to our corner 7-11! the prospect of a slurpee brings joy to both the young and old alike, wouldn't you agree? Unless of course you're offering a Slush Puppie, in which case, I have forgotten all about slurpees...Notice reagan wore her tap shoes. Made for a fancy beat while we walked.

I have to take a minute to explain baby Alyce's hair. She, like all the other Coupe girls, was born with an abundance of hair. However sometime around the end of summer she began to pull it out. We buzzed it under the advice of one of our many doctor friends, eeh hem, Jealous? oh, the crowd we run with. (it might sound fancy, however we're all terribly poor, for the time being)
This is when it started getting bad..and my attempt to cover the bald spot with bows. with the shaving, Baby Alyce could no longer grab hold of her hair, therefore resolving the hair pulling issue!

it's been more than a year?
I. Am. Back.
I can't believe I let our little blog go more than a year without a new post! Not for the lack of things happening in our life, that's for sure. Let me make a list....
1. Moved to Salt Lake City for the summer
2. John completed an externship for the prosecutor Taylorsville Utah.
3.The girls and I walked to IKEA A LOT
4. Lily Coupe turned 3 years old while still in Utah.
5. Came back to Lansing Michigan
6. Moved to East lansing Michigan, into what is know as the "Mormon Colony"
7. John began his 2nd Year at Michigan State Law.
8. our Sweet baby Alyce Genesee Coupe turned One year old!
9. Reagan Mariecela Coupe started preschool!
10. John and I celebrated our 8 year wedding anniversary:)
11. AnnaLily Consuelo Coupe started preschool!
12. I simply can't leave this out, since it really was one of the biggest things to happen to our family. John's brother, Joseph Paul Evans passed away. Definitely the hardest time of my husbands life, and the very most helpless I have felt in a long time.
What a year this has been.
I'm back to document the day to day things that my sweet girls do and say. Because after all, they are the reason I started blogging in the first place.
